A six month project documenting Watling Wood in Leadgate, County Durham.
Watling Wood in Leadgate, County Durham was planted in 1995, starting with tree planting by a group of local children led by Professor David Bellamy OBE. In 2009 the local community raised a petition of over a thousand signatures to save the site from development. Twenty seven years after the original planting, the maintenance of the site is now left to the local community, who use the site for a range of activities.
The project culminated in a site specific installation of images hung in the wood in July 2019
As part of Conny Arts Festival images from Watling Wood were exhibited at Blackhill & Consett Park in September – October 2019
